This guide will cover the essentials about the place and also cover some key info about the surrounding area.

Arrival, Parking and Check-in
Check in time is 4pm unless other arrangements have been made.

The full address is 1 Santa Rosa Ave, Pacifica, CA 94044.  The house is part of a duplex and you are in the unit closest to the beach with the Mermaid out front.

The first thing you will likely want to do is park.  You will see a driveway on the side of the building.  Park in the space closest to the beach which is outlined in green (see below photo).

After you are parked you can enter your unit. The code is 1501.

WiFi
The building uses AT&T internet. The wifi is as follows:

Password: serenity

Trash and Recycling Bins
Trash and recycling bins are located in the shed right in front of where you park:

Heat and Fireplace
The fireplace is operated with a timer switch you will see on the wall above the couch and it looks like this:

You will always see a small flame in the bottom of the fireplace when it is not on – this is the pilot light so don’t be alarmed by it.

Each bedroom and the bathroom have electric heaters that are also operated with a timer switch. This one has numbers on it like this:

Outdoor Fire Table

The Fire Table is a great way to enjoy the sunsets and evenings in the backyard. It runs on a propane tank and is very easy to light – very similar to lighting a BBQ.  Here is a video on how to operate it. Please make sure metal cover and canvas cover are on the table when not in use.

TV
We have a Roku connected to the TV.  The Roku remote should turn the TV on.  If you don’t see the Roku screen right away you might need to use the Samsung remote to change the SOURCE on the TV to HDMI 1 and then press the button with the House Symbol on the Roku Remote. 

No Smoking Policy
Smoking of cigarettes (or cannabis) is not permitted inside the property. Also, per the San Mateo County ordinance no smoking within 50 feet of the building.

Trash and Recycling 
If you need to take trash/recycling out of your unit you will find large bins in the rear of the building in garden. Very important: please make sure you properly separate trash and recycling. Trash pick up is early Wednesday morning so make sure your items go into the large bins Tuesday night.

Grocery Stores and Food Markets
Below are full service markets that offer a wide range of food items including fresh fruit, vegetables, meats and prepared foods.  All are very close within 5 mins drive.

• Oceana Market 200 Eureka Sq. Pacifica, CA 94044. Open 8am – 9pm
  This locally owned grocery store is the best in Pacifica and is walkable from the unit (about 12 min walk)
• Safeway 12 Manor Plz Pacifica, CA 94044. Open 5am – 12pm
  National chain with one of two locations in Pacifica.  

Restaurants
This is collection of cafe’s and restaurants we find to be the best in the area:

• Chit Chat Cafe  Pacifica Pier Pacifica, CA 94044. Open 6:30am – 7:30pm
  Right out your front door this small ramshackle cafe has surprisingly good coffee and a nice collection of pastries and snacks.  The chili and clam chowder are not bad at all!
• Breakers Brunch and Lunch 145 Rockaway Beach Ave Pacifica, CA 94044. Open 7am – 3pm 
  The go-to place for breakfast in Pacifica.
• Colombo’s Delicatessen 484 Manor Plaza Pacifica, Ca 94044. Open 9am – 6pm 
  The best sandwich shop in Pacifica.
• Nick’s Hideaway 145 Rockaway Beach Ave Pacifica, CA 94044. Open 11am – 9pm (10pm Saturday)
  A timeless restaurant with round booths and great views of the ocean.  Excellent Prime Rib and seafood.
• Gorilla BBQ  2145 Coast Hwy Pacifica, CA 94044. Open noon – 8pm (closed Tuesday)
  Very popular BBQ joint housed in an old rail car.
