Welcome to the Sunset House in West Sedona!  We are truly grateful you have chosen our vacation home for your visit to Sedona so we have assembled this guide to help you make the most of the house and the surrounding area.

Check in time is anytime after 4pm unless other arrangements have been made.

House Entry – Front Door and Garage
We do not have keys as we only use code locks and garage codes.  To operate the unlock to the front door enter the code 1969 and then turn the lock.  To lock the front door do the exact same thing after you close the door.  Here is a video on how to do operate the lock:

The garage is operated with a keypad next to the garage door. The keypad has a white cover on it do you will need to slide the cover up and then enter the code 1969 and then ENTER. If it doesn’t work the first time you may need to try it again. Here is a video on operating the garage door:  

Internet
The Wi-Fi network is called serenity and the password is gratitude. 

The router is located next to the King bed in the master bedroom if you ever need to reboot it for some reason.

Hot Tub
We just had a new hot tub installed May of 2019. Its sits 6 people and is a high quality Sundance model. A few key rules:

  1. Very important, please make sure everyone showers or bathes before entering. Lotion, sunscreen, make-up, etc will make the water unsightly and unclean feeling for the next guest. Please observe this strictly!
  2. Please make sure if you use it after 9pm that you are very quiet – no music or loud voices
  3. Make sure to keep cover on hot tub when not in use
  4. Please note our Hot Tub service guy may come to change the chemicals during your stay during the morning or day – his name is Ken very friendly but he is not on a set schedule.

TV
We only have internet enabled TV via a Roku box attached to the back of the TV.  The Roku box enables you to watch Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Video, HBO Go and much more. Here is a video on how to operate the TV and the Roku:

Air Conditioning
We just installed central AC in July 2021! This is operated from the thermostat.  No need to turn on the wall mounted AC unless is extraordinarily hot.

Heat
The heat is a central gas furnace and operates via the thermostat located on the wall opposite the large color painting at the end of the hallway. Please make sure to turn off heat if you are not inside the house.

Fireplace
Fireplace is gas only so please do not put any wood or other items in the fireplace. Here is a video on how to operate the fireplace. 

Garbage Service
Excess garbage should be placed in the large black bin in the driveway. Please make sure this black bin is left outside of the garage or the trash company will not pick up. Unfortunately Sedona does not have a reliable recycling service so there is no recycling.

The large bin is picked up every Monday morning so if you are staying on Sunday night please make sure the bin is not inside the garage.

Grocery Stores / Markets
Below are full service markets that offer a wide range of food items including fresh fruit, vegetables, meats and prepared foods.  All are very close within 5 mins drive.

Mail and Packages
You may see some packages delivered to the house during your stay. These are supplies for the house that we have delivered peridocially since we do not live in Sedona.  Please set aside anywhere convenient or set inside garage.

You are welcome to have packages delivered to the house as long as you make sure they arriving during your stay.  We cannot guarantee safe keeping if they are delivered outside your reservation window.

 
Check Out
 

  1. Check out is 10am sharp unless other arrangements have been made

  2. If you used the BBQ please burn off anything you left behind on the grill surface and scrub with the wire brush so it’s in good shape for the next guest.

  3. Please throw away all your trash into the trash bin in the garage

  4. Please turn thermostat to off

  5. Please turn cooler to off

  6. Please turn all lights off

  7. Cleaners appreciate it if you can strip the beds and leave the sheets and pillow cases in a pile
